WQB Mold Removal is a Mount Prospect, IL-based remediation company built around one idea: tell the customer the truth about what's in their walls, then fix it properly the first time.
Every technician we send to a Mount Prospect property carries current IICRC-aligned training, a containment kit, and a moisture meter — not just a spray bottle and a smile.
WQB Mold Removal has passed inspection with Mount Prospect, IL environmental and health authorities on remediation protocol, and we keep that documentation on file for every job.
A lot of Mount Prospect, IL homeowners have already paid someone once for a job that didn't hold up, which is part of why we document every step with photos and lab data rather than asking you to take our word for it.
Beyond the remediation itself, we can coordinate with your insurance adjuster and provide the paperwork most Mount Prospect, IL carriers expect for a mold-related claim.
Some of the worst colonization in Mount Prospect homes happens somewhere you'd never think to check.
That earthy odor in a closet or crawl space is often the first real clue, long before anything is visible. Our technicians can often narrow down the general location just from where the odor is strongest before ever opening a wall.
DIY drying with a box fan rarely reaches the moisture trapped inside wall cavities and subfloor. We can check behind an old repair with a moisture meter in under an hour to put your mind at ease either way.
If symptoms clear up on vacation and come back the moment you're home in Mount Prospect, your indoor air quality deserves a look. A pattern of symptoms tied to one specific room in the house is often the strongest clue of all.
By the time spotting is visible on a painted wall, the growth has usually been active for weeks already. A quick photo sent to our office can sometimes help us gauge urgency before you even schedule a visit.
From a single bathroom to a flooded crawl space, our Mount Prospect crews scale the response to match the actual problem.
Our emergency teams arrive with containment barriers and air scrubbers ready to deploy the moment they walk in. Extraction equipment and industrial dehumidifiers go in immediately to slow the moisture before it ever has a chance to seed a new colony.
We isolate the affected area with plastic sheeting and negative air pressure so spores don't spread to the rest of your Mount Prospect home during the work. Affected drywall, insulation, and carpet padding are bagged and removed according to protocol rather than just tossed loose in a truck bed.
Our commercial crews coordinate with property managers on phased containment so parts of the building can stay operational during treatment. Multi-tenant properties in Mount Prospect sometimes need coordinated notice to residents or staff, and our project leads handle that communication directly.
Buying a Mount Prospect home? A pre-purchase mold inspection can catch problems a standard home inspection misses entirely. We use an independent third-party lab for analysis, which keeps our test results objective rather than tied to whoever's selling you the remediation.
These tight spaces require specialized equipment and technicians trained to work safely in confined areas. Encapsulation and sump correction can be bundled with the remediation itself so you're not paying for two separate visits.
For Mount Prospect properties with chronic humidity issues, we design a long-term moisture control plan, not just a one-time fix. A small investment in prevention is almost always cheaper than paying for the same remediation twice.
We keep the process simple enough to explain over the phone in under two minutes.
Tell our dispatcher what you're seeing and smelling, and we'll get a technician on the calendar, often same-day for Mount Prospect addresses. Have a rough sense of when the problem started if you can — it helps us plan the visit.
We walk the property with a moisture meter and, when needed, take air or surface samples for lab analysis. You'll get a plain-language explanation of what we found before any decisions get made.
Negative air machines keep spores from traveling to unaffected rooms while the work is underway. Daily progress updates are available if you're not on-site during the work.
You'll get a written report you can keep for your records or share with an insurer. Any lingering questions get answered on the spot before we pack up.
Our estimates are itemized line by line, which means you know exactly what you're paying for and why.
Dispatch times in Mount Prospect typically run same-day for active issues, because we staff enough local technicians to avoid the two-week backlog other companies run.
Every job includes documented before-and-after testing, not just a verbal assurance that "it's handled."
And if something doesn't sit right after we leave, our satisfaction guarantee means we come back and make it right at no extra charge.
Plenty of companies will happily bill you for remediation on a repeat basis without ever mentioning the actual leak feeding the problem, and that's simply not how we operate in Mount Prospect, IL.
Word of mouth is still how most of our Mount Prospect, IL customers find us, which tells you something about how the last job usually goes.
If regrowth tied to our workmanship shows up within the warranty window, we come back to your Mount Prospect property and fix it at no additional cost.

Answers to what Mount Prospect homeowners ask us most.
Response time depends on scheduling load, but same-day or next-morning arrival is typical for Mount Prospect, IL service areas. If you're dealing with active water intrusion, mention that when you call so we can flag the job as urgent.
Yes — every job gets a flat-rate, itemized quote before any work begins, so there's no surprise invoice at the end. If we discover additional damage once we open a wall, we'll stop and get your approval before doing any extra work or adding any cost.
Our on-call crew handles active flooding, sewage backups, and sudden mold discovery around the clock, including nights and weekends. We also coordinate directly with plumbers or roofers when the source of the water needs to be stopped before drying can even begin.
We collect air or surface samples and send them to an independent lab for species identification and spore-count analysis. Knowing the species matters because some, like Stachybotrys, call for stricter containment protocols than common surface mildew.
Coverage depends on your policy and the cause of the moisture, so we recommend calling your insurer, and we can supply documentation to support a claim. We're glad to speak directly with your adjuster if that helps move your Mount Prospect claim along faster.
A single bathroom or small closet can often be completed in a day, while larger crawl space or whole-home jobs may take three to five days. We'll give you a realistic timeline estimate after the initial inspection rather than a generic number pulled from a brochure.
Anyone with asthma or mold sensitivities may want to arrange alternate accommodations during larger jobs, and we'll advise based on scope. We'll always tell you honestly if we think you should stay elsewhere rather than downplay it to keep the job simpler on our end.
We recommend keeping children and pets away from the containment zone until the area passes clearance testing. HEPA filtration during the job significantly reduces airborne spore counts outside the sealed work area.
Every job addresses the moisture source, not just the visible growth, because treating symptoms without fixing the cause almost guarantees regrowth. If the same conditions caused a prior remediation to fail, we'll flag that risk clearly before starting the new job.
Call +1-844-578-1604 to ask about current inspection options for your Mount Prospect address, as availability can vary by season. Even a phone consultation before scheduling can help you understand whether what you're seeing warrants a visit.
Remediation focuses on removing the active colony and correcting the moisture source so the environment no longer supports abnormal growth. Any company promising 100% mold removal is stretching the truth, since outdoor and indoor air both naturally carry some spore count.
DIY treatment can also mask a problem temporarily, which sometimes delays proper remediation until the issue has spread further. For small, non-porous surfaces a simple cleaning may be fine, but anything on drywall, wood, or carpet usually needs a professional look.
